DAN Diving First Aid (DFA) IQC – Instructor Qualification Course

The Diving First Aid (DFA) course is the most comprehensive first aid training in the dive industry, offering essential skills for both divers and non-divers. By becoming a DFA Instructor, you’ll be prepared to teach life-saving first aid and risk-mitigation techniques to your students.

The DFA Instructor Qualification Course (IQC) trains you to teach a full range of critical first aid skills, including all content from the DAN Basic Life Support (BLS) course, such as CPR and essential first aid skills. You will also cover the Emergency Oxygen for Diving Injuries course, neurological assessments, and first aid for hazardous marine life injuries.

Upon successful completion, you’ll be certified to teach the following DAN Courses:

  • Diving First Aid (DFA)
  • Basic Life Support: CPR and First Aid (BLS)
  • Emergency Oxygen for Scuba Diving Injuries (EO2)
