DISCOVER SCUBA DIVING
Have you ever wondered what it's like to breathe underwater? If you want to find out but aren't quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving will let you try scuba to see if you like it. Sugar Land Dive Center offers Discover Scuba Diving on demand in our heated, indoor pool. While not an actual scuba certification, during the Discover Scuba Diving experience, you'll learn how to use scuba equipment and get an introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world.

Discover Scuba Diving with Sugar Land Dive Center
Experience the thrill of scuba diving with a Discover Scuba Dive with Sugar Land Dive Center. If you have always wondered what it is like to breathe underwater, but are not sure if you are ready to enroll in a scuba certification course, Discover Scuba Diving will give you the perfect introduction.
During your Discover Scuba Dive, you will:
- Learn about scuba gear
- Practice some basic scuba skills in shallow water
- Experience the ease of movement underwater in our indoor heated pool

- All equipment
- Fun and games in our indoor heated pool
We offer the Discover Scuba Diving experience around your schedule. Just let us know when you would like to schedule, and we will get you on the calendar. If you decide you love diving, which we are sure you will, and sign up for your PADI Open Water course, we will credit the cost of your Discover Scuba Dive towards your Open Water course.
Complete your DSD eLearning
To get started with your Discover Scuba Diving experience at Sugar Land Dive Center, please follow the link below to the PADI website:
Each participant will then create a PADI account (at no cost) to sign in. You will then complete the necessary forms and the eLearning module before arriving at Sugar Land Dive Center. To schedule your Discover Scuba Diving Experience for the date and time of your choice, contact us, and we will get you on the schedule.
Please note that each person must complete this step individually and use a unique email address for their account.
Prerequisites
To participate in the Discover Scuba Diving program,
- You must be at least 10 years old.
- Complete the PADI Medical Statement
