Emergency First Response Instructor (EFRI) training allows you to teach CPR, first aid, AED, and Care for Children courses to divers and non-divers. This course is also an important step for PADI IDC candidates who need to meet the CPR/first aid instructor requirement before certification as a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor.

Emergency First Response Instructor (EFRI) training allows you to teach CPR, first aid, AED, and Care for Children courses to divers and non-divers. This course is ideal for PADI Divemasters, IDC candidates, workplace safety leaders, teachers, coaches, youth leaders, and anyone who wants to become authorized to teach Emergency First Response courses.

EFRI Course Fee: $550

Includes: EFR Instructor eLearning, EFRI Digital Instructor materials, instructor-level training, teaching practice, coaching, and authorization training for EFR Primary Care, Secondary Care, CPR/AED, and Care for Children.

Not included: EFR Instructor application fee of $152, payable directly to PADI/Emergency First Response at the time of certification.

What You Will Learn

During the EFRI course, you will learn how to organize and teach Emergency First Response courses, present course content, coach students through hands-on skills practice, evaluate students' understanding, and manage scenario-based learning.

The goal is to help you become a confident, effective CPR and first aid instructor who can create a positive learning environment for students.

Prerequisites

To enroll in the Emergency First Response Instructor course, candidates must:

Be at least 18 years old
Have current Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care training, or qualifying CPR and first aid training, within the past 24 months

Not Included

The EFR Instructor application fee is not included in the SLDC course fee. This fee is currently $146 and is payable directly to PADI/Emergency First Response at the time of certification.
